I am making a tutorial. How can I record what I do on my computer screen?

I have seen people create video tutorials by recording the processes they use on their computer screen. How can I do that? Should I use a video camera and just set it up to face my monitor or do I need some program to do this? I would appreciate any help you could provide. Thank you.I am making a tutorial. Check out www.fraps.com

I know that you can video capture with that software, but I'm not sure if that is your best bet or not.
You might want to try http://www.fraps.com. I don't know if their screen capture software works they way you want but it might be a start. I also believe that it is free for download.
Here's 2 great free programs to record screen tutorials.

Camtasia is what most people use.

It's around $300
If you just hit Print Screen it will copy the screen and you can just past it into another program - ie. ms word. Give it a shot - no software required!
